Quote of the day / Cita del día

"I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes."
"Gracias señor por este día increíble, por los espíritus verdes de los árboles, y por el sueño azul de los cielos y por todo lo que es natura, que es infinito, que es"

Fighting against the global warming in Bantayan / Luchando contra el calentamiento global en Bantayan

Several months ago I posted about the fight against the global warming filipinos are doing in Manila. There is an avenue close to Intramuros where they plant trees with that purpose.
After months I was going around Bantayan Island and I saw a national road full of these advertisments with all these trees that were planted for the same purpose. Here you have pictures taken there. It would be good if we copy it in western countries.

The Philippines: Manila, planting trees

As I was explaining you in a previous post, The Philippines is taking a lot of care about environmental issues. The intention is good, but sometimes the country is not prepared and you can still seeing not very good things.
Anyway, I will give you some examples of both things.
We can start with a very good thing. Very close to Intramuros(old downtown) there is an avenue where Filipinos can ask for plant their own tree to fight against the global warming. Here you have some pictures of the avenue and one of the trees. Definitely, every city in the world should copy this great idea from our friends.

Plant for the planet

"Stop talking. Start planting" this is the slogan that Felix Finkbeiner chose for his organization which promotes planting for our planet.
What is really shocking is that the spirit of this organization are children. Yes, our little friends are fed up about global warming and they are taking actions:

"Everyone loves to talk about the climate crisis. But talking alone isn’t going to stop the glaciers from melting. Or the rain-forests from disappearing. And each time adults just talk and don’t act, it’s up to us, the children, to take matters into our own hands. Quite literally. Plant-for-the-Planet is an organisation where kids all over the world plant trees as a sign of climate justice"

Up to now, they have planted around 4 million trees in more than 91 countries. We do not have any doubt that they are doing more for the planet than anyone else. All my support to you Felix. You are making real a dream of many people.
