First of all I have to say sorry about my absence for the last month. It was my last month in The Philippines and some relatives and friends came to visit the country. So I was very busy with them and I decided to stop writing for a while. I am again in my country and ready to keep my personal green fight.
One of the last places I was in the Philippines was the island of Malapascua. This island is a small beautiful place where you can enjoy amazing beaches, incredible diving spots, good people and good food.
But as every place, Malapascua hide something terrible for our planet. What happen with disposals here? Locals in this island keep doing their traditional way to hide the disposals, consisting in a hole on the earth where they bury the rubbish. Here everything is fine if everyting is organic disposals... Locals do not know the differences between organic and none organic disposals so they put everything together in these holes. Capitalism brought to them the new ways of live, but nobody tought them about the dangers of these products. Locals left the palm leave for a plastic plate and they give the same future either one.
There is a hope in this island. There is a group of people from different countries trying to teach locals about these kind of things and problems to preserve the place. Sure they will change the situation.

Primero de todo quiero disculparme por mi ausencia este último mes. Ha sido mi recta final en Filipinas y algunos familiares y amigos vinieron a visitarme, así que estuve muy ocupado con ellos y decidí parar de escribir un tiempo. Ahora estoy de nuevo en mi país preparado para continuar la lucha verde.
Uno de los últimos lugares que visité en Filipinas fue la isla de Malapascua. Malapascua es una pequeña isla donde se puede disfrutar de playas increíbles, espectaculares puntos de buceo, buena gente y buena comida.
Pero como cada lugar, Malapascua esconde algo terrible para nuestro planeta. ¿Qué ocurre con los residuos?
Los locales debido a su ignorancia, continúan utilizando sus viejos métodos para ocultar los residuos. Realizan hoyos en la tierra dónde arrojan todo tipo de residuos, orgánicos e inorgánicos, que luego entierran. El capitalismo ha traído las nuevas formas del mundo moderno a este tipo de lugares, pero nadie se ha preocupado de enseñar los efectos devastadores que pueden causar, ni han enseñado las nuevas formas para eliminar residuos inorgánicos. Los locales han cambiado su hoja de palma por el plato de plástico y le dan el mismo futuro a ambos.
A pesar de esto, hay una esperanza en la isla. Un grupo de extranjeros están intentando enseñar a los locales sobre este tipo de cosas para preservar el lugar. Seguro que conseguirán cambiar la situación.
