Lecture at Santa Fe National High School / Conferencia en el Instituto de Santa Fe

Today I had my second lecture in the Santa Fe National High school in Bantayan Island. This time kids were more shy but they were so impressed about the things I was explaining them. After the playing of the documentary Home, they were so touched and they were starting to be more eco-friendly. One example is that teacher was asking two of them to go to buy some snacks and she told them they could use her motorbike. Their reply was... No mom we want to go walking to be more eco-friendly. That is awesome. Results within 5 minutes! I will keep trying to do more lectures... Tomorrow another one!

Hoy he tenido mi segunda conferencia en el Instituto de Santa Fe en la isla de Bantayan. Esta vez los niños eran un poco más vergonzosos, pero se han quedado impresionados con los que les he estado explicando. Después de la proyección del documental Home, estaban completamente afectados y han empezado a ser más eco-amigos. Un ejemplo es que la profesora ha mandado a dos de ellos y les ha ofrecido su motocicleta para ir a por ellos. Su respuesta fue, no señora, queremos ir andando para ser más eco-amigos. Esto es maravilloso, resultados en 5 minutos! Intentaré seguir dando estas conferencias... Mañana a por otra!

Lecture at Bantayan National High School / Conferencia en el Instituto Nacional de Bantayan

Yesterday, C4G had it first lecture for kids at Bantayan National High School. It has been a great pleasure for me to share my ideas about Sustainability with 80 kids between 13 and 14 years old.
At the beginning the kids were a little bit shy, but after 15 minutes they were interacting a lot with me, and I have to say, that they know more than kids in Europe about environmental issues. It was a great experience that I hope to repeat soon in other schools around the country.



Ayer, C4G tuvo su primera conferencia para niños en el Instituto Nacional de Bantayan. Fue un gran placer para mi compartir mis ideas sobre sostenibilidad con 80 niños de entre 13 y 14 años. Al principio los niños estaban un poco cortados, pero después de 15 minutos empezaron a interactuar conmigo. Y tengo que decir que saben más que niños en Europa acerca de problemas con el medio ambiente. Fue una gran experiencia que espero repetir pronto en otras escuelas del país.
