Recycle for tricycles / Reciclo para triciclos

When I was in Puerto Princesa at Palawan. I was surprised when I saw following picture in one of the tricycles. Tricycles are a way of transport for short distances in filipino towns and cities. It is a motorbike that have a kind of sidecar attached where two or three people can travel.

Cuando estuve en Puerto Princesa en Palawan me sorprendió ver la pegatina de la foto en uno de los triciclos. Los triciclos son un medio de transporte para distancias cortas en las pequeñas ciudades en Filipinas. Básicamente es una moto que tiene un sidecar donde pueden viajar dos o tres personas.

No doubts that The Philippines are working hard in environmental issues.

No hay dudas de que Filipinas está trabajando duro en cuestiones medio ambientales.

Locals fishing on the beach / Locales pescando en la playa

Today I am posting a video where we can see how locals fish on the beach with a handmade net. Kids are helping their fathers to pick up the fishes and learn about how to do it. They were explaining me that they do not come every day. Just sometimes, in this way they let the fishes reproduce again. This is sustainability.

Para hoy os he preparado un video donde los locales pescan en la playa con una red artesanal. Los niños ayudan a sus padres recogiendo los peces y aprenden el arte de la pesca. Estuvieron explicándome que no vienen todos los días, solamente de vez en cuando. De esta manera, dejan a los peces recuperarse y reproducirse de nuevo. Eso es sostenibilidad. Video: Waking up

Investigating on the Internet I have found following video. It is very impressive how it can match our daily actions with effects on our planet. That is something I have already talked about in different posts. As follow explanation by producers:

Wangari Maathai

Few days ago, Wangari Maathai passed away because of a cancer. Maathai was one of the most important defenders of our planet. She was fighting hard in Africa and she was first woman in Africa to receive the Nobel Piece Prize.
Mother of the Green Belt Movement was focused on planting trees, environmental conservation and women rights.

Gaia lost an icon, but we can keep her spirit alive. Lets have a thought or pray on her and her family.

I am not usually posting twice in the same day. But this video touch my heart deeper than others. It talks itself so much better to watch it than read me.
