Several days ago, I met Michel, a very interesting man. Michel is a french Canadian middle age man that has invented a new kind of bags made of jute (vegetable fabric). This new bags are the first carbon zero certified bags in Canada. We had a very interesting conversation about the functionality and eco-characteristics of these bags and how they can easily substitute the common plastic bags, that are poison for us and the nature. Here you have one of their slogans:

During our chatting we agreed in a lot of things and we realized that we are not alone each other in the fight for sustainable world. Let´s work all together to substitute plastic bags for others as these ones.

Hace unos días conocí a Michel, un hombre bastante interesante. Michel es un francés-canadiense de mediana edad que ha inventado unas eco-bolsas hechas de Yute (un tipo de fibra vegetal). Estas bolsas son las primeras en ser calificadas como emisión de carbón cero en Canadá. Tuvimos una conversación interesante acerca de la propiedades ecológicas de las bolsas, de su funcionalidad y de lo fácil que sería utilizarlas en lugar de las bolsas de plástico, las cuáles son veneno para nosotros y para el planeta. Aquí tenéis uno de sus eslóganes:
Poned fin a las bolsas de plástico! Sacos de yute resistentes, duraderos y de moda. Fomentad la ecología mediante el equilibrio y la ética del trabjo.
Durante nuestra charla coincidimos en un montón de cosas y nos dimos cuenta de que no estamos solos en la lucha para tener un mundo más sostenible. Luchemos todos juntos para sustituir las bolsas de plástico por otras como éstas.

During my last lecture, I found out that kids had a kind pillow under their arms. I wonder what was it and they explained that was part of the science program. They had to use used plastics to make a pillow or cushion. Here you have some of the samples I saw. Different forms, different use, and all of them sustainable pillows. Can you imagine if pillow and cushion companies would adopt this idea?
Durante mi última conferencia, me di cuenta que los niños tenían unas almohadas y cojines debajo de sus brazos. Me pregunté que era eso, y me dijeron que formaba parte de su programa de ciencias. Tenían que utilizar plásticos para fabricar unas almohadas o cojines. Aquí tenéis unos cuantos ejemplos que vi. Diferentes formas, usos, pero todos sostenibles. Os hacéis una idea del efecto que tendría si algunas compañías fabricantes de cojines adoptaran la idea?
